■ イベント開催の背景

 近年、転職市場は活発な状況が続いています。厚生労働省の一般職業紹介状況(令和6年6月分)によると、コロナ以降、有効求人倍率は1を超える水準(1を超えると「求職者数よりも求人数の方が多い状況」)となっており、株式会社リクルートが7月末に公表した「2024年度上半期 転職市場動向レポート」においても、求人数が例年に比べ伸びていることが明らかになっています*2。

 中でも、大企業からスタートアップ企業への転職が増加傾向にあり、エン・ジャパン株式会社が運営する若年層向け転職サイト「AMBI(アンビ)」によると、21年4~9月に大企業からスタートアップに移った件数は、18年4~9月比で7.1倍となっており、全体の転職者数の伸び(3.8倍)を大きく上回っていることが明らかになりました。

 そこで本セミナーでは、大企業の中でも外資系大手企業から日系スタートアップへの転職にフォーカスし、実際に転職に至った経験者のお話を伺います。どういった軸で転職を考えていたのか、何が決め手となったのかなど、外資系大手から日系スタートアップへの転職のリアルに迫ります。

元Veeva Japan 代表取締役 岡村 崇 氏

1992年日本NCRに入社。2年間の同社英国オフィス勤務を経てマイクロストラテジー、SAP Japan等にて要職を歴任。

2011年よりVeeva Japan代表取締役ジェネラルマネージャーに就任。2022年に退任するまでに社員1名から100名強に成長させる。現在は国内スタートアップ企業のアドバイザーとしてメンタリングに従事。

新卒でセールスフォース・ドットコム(現セールスフォース・ジャパン)へ入社。

2022年5月にテックタッチへエンタープライズ営業として入社し、現在は営業部長としてチームを牽引。

■Background of the Event

In recent years, the job change market has experienced significant activity. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare's “General Employment Status (June 2024),” the effective job-to-job ratio has remained above 1 since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic (a ratio exceeding 1 indicates that the number of jobs offers surpasses the number of job seekers). Additionally, the “Job Change Market Trend Report for the First Half of FY2024,” published by Recruit Co., Ltd. at the end of July, indicates a marked increase in the number of job openings in the first half of FY2024 compared to previous years (*2)

 

According to AMBI, a job change platform for young professionals operated by En Japan K.K., the number of individuals transitioning from large companies to startups during the period of April to September 2009 was 7.1 times greater than in the same period of 2006. This figure represents a substantial increase compared to the overall growth in job changes, which was 3.8 times greater during the same periods. The number of people moving from large companies to startups in April to September 2009 was significantly higher, at 7.1 times the number in April to September 2006, demonstrating a notable divergence from the broader job change trends.

 

In this seminar, we will focus on career transitions from major foreign-affiliated corporations to Japanese startups. We will hear from individuals who have successfully made this transition, gaining insights into their experiences and perspectives. We will explore the factors that influenced their decision-making process and the reasons behind their transition from foreign-affiliated large companies to Japanese startups, providing a comprehensive overview of this career shift.

Mr. Takashi Okamura, Former Representative Director, Veeva Japan

Mr. Takashi Okamura joined NCR Japan in 1992.
After two years of service at the company's UK office, he held key positions at MicroStrategy and SAP Japan.
In 2011, he became the President and General Manager of Veeva Japan, where he led the company’s growth from a single employee to over 100 employees by the time he stepped down in 2022.
He is currently engaged in mentoring as an advisor to domestic startup companies.

With nearly 20 years of experience in launching foreign-affiliated SaaS companies, Mr. Kiyomitsu Takayama is now working on his first Japanese startup. He will share insights on how the strengths of foreign experiences are applicable and relevant to the startup environment.

 

Mr. Yasufumi Takahashi,President and CEO, Miletos Inc.

Mr. Yasufumi Takahashi graduated from Yokohama National University and completed his graduate studies at the same institution.
He began his career at Accenture as a new graduate, focusing on consulting for clients in the high-tech, media, and manufacturing sectors, and advanced to the position of Senior Manager.
Subsequently, he joined Miletos Inc., where he supported numerous projects primarily in the finance and accounting sectors, leveraging his expertise in applying AI and improving processes as part of digital transformation (DX).
He is also a part-time lecturer at Yokohama National University a SaaS to AI SaaS/SaaS to SaaS Evangelist.

 

Takumi Shiina,General Manager, Enterprise Sales Department 2, Techtouch Inc.

Mr. Takumi Shiina began his career at Salesforce.com (now Salesforce Japan) as a new graduate, gaining experience in both inbound and outbound inside sales as well as enterprise sales.
He joined TechTouch Inc. in May 2022 as an Enterprise Sales Representative and currently serves as Sales Director, leading the sales team.
Mr. Shiina will share insights on the transition from a foreign-affiliated company to a startup, including his background and firsthand experiences.

 

Takeshi Ooga,Director and COO, booost technologies, Inc.

Formerly the Executive Officer and Chief Transformation Officer at SAP Japan, Mr. Takeshi Ooga has over 25 years of experience in foreign-affiliated companies, including Japan Oracle and various consulting firms.
In January 2023, he took on the role of Director and COO at Booost Technologies.
He is now using the knowledge and experience he gained from working with foreign-affiliated companies to support and advance Japanese startups.
